Building permits are required for any new additions to property. Permit costs are $1.00 per thousand of value (inimum of $5.00).

Curfew restrictions: children under the age of 18 years cannot wander, lounge, loaf, loiter or play in, about or upon any public street, alley, sidewalk, vacant lot, public place or other place normally accessible to the general public for public use, whether on foot or in a vehicle after the hour of 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM unless accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or other person exercising legal custody of such child. This restriction shall not apply to children under the age of 18 going by the most direct and accessible route between their homes and authorized places of employment, nor to those going by the most direct and accessible route from a place of employment, authorized entertainment, or authorized place of at-tendance to their residences. The term "authorized" as used in this section shall denote prior authorization by a parent, legal guardian, or other person exercising legal custody.

Moran enforces a maximum grass height of 12" on property within the city limits. Notice of violation is sent once at the beginning of the season. Thereafter, the city will mow any grass one-week after the notice is given at a cost of $50.00 per hour.

The city employs a dogcatcher and enforces the confinement of all dogs according Moran City Code Article 2. Dogs must be vaccinated and tagged yearly by March 31st. Tags may be purchased at Moran City Hall with tags for spayed or neutered dogs at $2.00 each; all other tags are $4.00 each.
